Connector Product Quality Test Types

Connector Product Quality Test Types

I. Qualification Test

For newly designed products, after samples are manufactured based on self-designed data, to verify the correctness of the product design data, tests are conducted according to the technical requirements. Only after the samples pass the tests can the design data be finalized and the product enter the trial production stage.

II. Production Qualification Test

For self-designed or copied products, when the design data is still in the trial production stage, to verify the correctness of the product drawings, process data, etc., and whether the related process equipment and processing methods can ensure stable batch production, the product must undergo full-item tests as per the technical requirements. Only after passing the tests can batch production commence.

III. Routine Test

For batch-produced products, at regular intervals, to verify the stability of product quality during batch production, or after significant modifications in structure, manufacturing process, and material substitution, to verify whether the product can meet the technical requirements, all specified tests must be conducted. The interval for routine tests is determined by the product technical conditions, such as every three months, six months, one year, or one and a half years.

IV. Acceptance Test

Acceptance test is a quality inspection procedure for electrical products after assembly. When each batch of products is completed, the factory inspection department conducts tests according to the requirements specified in the technical conditions. The content of acceptance tests varies for different products.

V. Reliability Test

(1) Environmental Stress Screening: A series of tests conducted under environmental stress to expose defective components and manufacturing defects for correction.

(2) Reliability Growth Test: A series of tests conducted to expose defects and verify that corrective measures can prevent the recurrence of these defects during product use.

(3) Reliability Qualification Test: Tests conducted on samples of the production technology status approved by government representatives under specified conditions to determine if the product meets the specified reliability requirements and serves as the basis for production approval.

(4) Production Reliability Acceptance Test: Tests conducted by government representatives on submitted or available products under specified conditions to determine if the manufacturer’s products meet the specified reliability requirements.

VI. Engineering Research and Analytical Test

This test includes two main aspects: process tests and research tests for design structure changes. Its purpose and tasks are: to analyze and study quality problems that occur in batch-produced products; to propose new design structures and improve existing ones; to determine the possibility of material substitution or the adoption of new processes and technologies; and to verify whether the product can meet special requirements beyond the technical conditions.
