Recently, three major enterprises, JAE, Phoenix Contact, and Weifeng Electronics, have made concerted efforts and focused on the automotive and industrial connection fields to launch new products. JAE has expanded its product line of small-sized, high-density, non-waterproof connectors for automobiles, adding through-hole reflow soldering models. Phoenix Contact has released a supercharging socket for new energy heavy-duty trucks, addressing pain points such as slow charging.
JAE: “MX34T” New Product

JAE has been committed to expanding the product lineup of the compact high-density non-waterproof connector “MX34 series” for vehicles. This series has been widely used in ECU, BMS, switches and other fields. To meet a wider range of demands, JAE has added a new product “MX34T” to the right-angle pin product series, which supports through-hole reflow soldering.
Through-hole reflow soldering (also known as “Pin In Paste”) is an installation method where the connector pins are inserted into the through-holes of the circuit board and then reflow soldered. This process can be installed simultaneously with other SMT components, ensuring mechanical strength while also having excellent mass production characteristics.
Based on the installation method of the circuit boards in the unit equipment, one can select high-quality product solutions, which effectively enhances the design flexibility and optimizes the installation process efficiency.
The vehicle-mounted non-waterproof connector adopts a 0.64mm contact piece size in accordance with ISO/JASO/EWCAP/VDA standards.
It meets the connector vehicle specification requirements of automobile manufacturers.
The connection method of the pins is divided into cable type (pin relay) and substrate type. The circuit board type provides two types of direct insertion and right-angle types, and supports circuit board mounting methods such as DC DIP, through-hole reflow soldering and SMT compatibility.
The cable type is equipped with a preset fixator to detect the semi-insertion state of the terminals and is compatible with the automation of the wiring harness.
The mechanical locking structure ensures reliable engagement.
Phoenix Connectors

Phoenix: The ultra-fast charging socket for electric and new energy heavy-duty trucks is top-notch.
In mid-November, Phoenix (Nanjing) New Energy Vehicle Technology Co., Ltd. celebrated its 10th anniversary of establishment. At the same time, Phoenix’s third base in China and the Electric Vehicle Competitiveness Center were officially launched. This event marks that Phoenix Electric’s R&D and manufacturing capabilities in the field of new energy have entered a strategic upgrading stage.
It has established an integrated industrial ecosystem of “R&D – Production – Service”, which can provide support for the technological transformation of key sectors such as new energy heavy trucks.
The new energy heavy-duty truck ultra-fast charging solution released by Phoenix Electric this time is a product developed by the company to address the existing industry pain points and based on the production capacity conditions of the new base.
Breakthrough charging efficiency improvement: The ultra-fast charging socket has a rated current of 800A, and the peak short-term current capacity can reach 1100A. It precisely meets the large current charging requirements of new energy heavy-duty trucks, reducing charging time and solving the operational pain points of “slow charging and long waiting time” for users;
Ultra-reliable working condition adaptability: It adopts the split-type structure terminals developed by German experts, endowing the product with outstanding resistance to mud salt water and efficient heat dissipation capabilities. At the same time, it passes the “double 85” (85℃ high temperature, 85% relative humidity) environmental tests and meets the IP67 protection level, laying a solid foundation for the long-term stable operation of the charging equipment in complex scenarios;
Revolutionary optimization of after-sales experience: The innovative design of the terminal quick-change structure allows for maintenance without disassembling the socket wiring assembly. Just replacing the front terminals can complete the maintenance, reducing the after-sales replacement time from “over 1 hour” to “less than 2 minutes”, significantly improving the operation efficiency and greatly reducing the after-sales cost and vehicle downtime losses.
